Antenna 900MHz 6dBi Fiberglass Omni w/ N-f. LoRa, Helium
860-960 MHz 6dBi Omnidirectional Antenna: Fiberglass Weatherproof - suitable for outdoor use
- This is for LoRa / LoraWAN, Wi-Fi HaLow, GSM, ZigBee, and any other wireless protocol that uses a frequency in the 850-920MHz band.
- Includes pole-mounting hardware kit with U-bolts and jaw clamps.
Three versions of this fiberglass antenna:
- Eight dBi version: This version is better for long-range in more flat terrain without a lot of obstructions/buildings
- Three dBi version: This version is better for hilly terrain and urban areas with obstructions/buildings
- The six dBi version that is the subject of the page you are on is mid-way between the two above options
See all 900MHz Antenna options: LoRa, Helium, LoRaWAN, GSM, and 3G.
- 915MHz is the middle of the band range of this antenna
- Includes U-bolt mounting hardware for pole-mounting: See more detailed photos here set: Inner diameter: 2" Outer diameter: 2 ⅜"
- Mounting hardware included: This antenna has a mounting kit with an aluminum tube and a U-bolts set. See details/specifications of the mounting kit. The kit is especially suitable for pole mounting.
- Rugged and Weatherproof: Fiberglass antenna
- This antenna's construction features a durable fiberglass radome for durability and aesthetics. Its mounting system features twin heavy-duty mounting brackets and U-bolts for superior strength.
- Nickel-plated brass body for enhanced corrosion resistance: Nickel plating is the most weather-resistant, corrosion-resistant metal plating.
Mount Options: See our mount options for antennas with an N-connector (Type-N connector)
Compatibility with wireless standards & applications: This omnidirectional antenna's range of frequency band compatibility in the 860 MHz to 960 MHz frequency band range, its low broadband VSWR, and its impedance matching to 50 Ohm gear make it suitable and compliant for all the following applications:
- Compatible with Wi-Fi HaLow devices, as are all antennas in our Wi-Fi HaLow Antennas subcategory and LoRa / LoRaWAN access points Nd Wi-Fi HaLow.
- 900MHz ISM Band. It can also operate on other VHF and UHF frequencies within the ISM frequency bands.
- Non Line of Sight (NLOS): 900 MHz band is best for passing through trees and forests.
- IoT wireless & M2M: Since it is vertically polarized, it is compatible with many machine-to-machine communication applications, remote monitoring, and telemetry applications:

TEST RESULTS for FREQUENCY RANGES:
The antenna exhibits solid and well-defined performance over the approximate frequency range of 845 to 1000 MHz, with a clear improvement in impedance matching around the central portion of the band. S11 measurements indicate a resonance point near 870–880 MHz, where the VSWR decreases to approximately 1.1–1.2 and the Return Loss reaches about −20 dB, reflecting very efficient power transfer and minimal reflection losses.
| Frequency range | Assessment | Rating | Compatible technologies |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0.845–1.00 GHz | Very good | ★★★★ | Cellular 850/900 MHz bands (GSM 850/900), LTE Band 5 and Band 8, NB-IoT / LTE-M deployments in the 850–900 MHz range, ISM/IoT links around 915 MHz (LoRa, FSK telemetry), UHF RFID systems (regional 860–960 MHz), industrial telemetry and monitoring systems, and wideband sub-GHz wireless communication platforms. Clear resonance around 870–880 MHz with excellent impedance matching, achieving VSWR values of approximately 1.1–1.2 and Return Loss near −20 dB. Toward the band edges, VSWR gradually increases up to ~2.0, remaining within acceptable limits for wideband sub-GHz operation |
N-type Connector Characteristics and Details: Durable, weatherproof connection
- Nickel-plated brass body for enhanced corrosion resistance: Nickel plating is the most weather-resistant, corrosion-resistant metal plating.
- Our N connectors, known for their reliability, consistently deliver high performance from 900MHz to 12.5 GHz.
- N-Female diameter is 0.620 inches (1.57 cm).
- N-male inside diameter is 0.620-inch (1.57 cm)
- N-connector gender is counter-intuitive.
- N-type connectors are the largest RF connector types, usually found on large antennas, especially for outdoor use.
Our N-Type connectors, meticulously designed with threaded coupling mechanisms, are fully interchangeable with N-Type connectors made to the MIL-C-39012 specification. These connectors are a staple in all systems where excellent RF and mechanical performance is critical.

Type-N materials composition. This part is built to last and perform:
- The outside (body) is made from Nickel-Plated Brass, which helps prevent rust and keeps it strong.
- Inside, the contact is gold-plated beryllium copper, giving you better signal and connection.
- The white insulator inside is PTFE, which stays stable even in tough electrical conditions.
- And the ferrule? It’s nickel-plated copper, there to keep everything tightly in place.
All of our antennas pass the QC test before we ship them.
