BNC Male to Male Cable 75 Ohm CCTV

BNC male to male cable: The connectors and coax are 75 Ohm impedance for CCTV, audio, security camera, and other video applications:

BNC Cables Bridging Video and Audio

Two coax-version options: RG179 and RG59 (see details below), low-loss and very flexible/easily bendable coax with black jacket. The additional shielding of RG59 is a major factor in the higher quality of this cable, which translates into lower loss/better performance.

  • The 1FT, 2FT, 3FT, 4FT, 6FT and 10FT versions are made with RG179 coax.
  • We can custom-make any length with RG59 or RG179 to suit your requirement.
  • RG179 is more flexible than RG59, but RG59 has much less attenuation (signal loss) than RG179.

Lead-free and ROHS compliant: The entire product is ROHS compliant (connectors and cable).

industrial IoT applications of BNC cables

BNC cables for Video (including CCTV) and Audio are 75 Ohm:

BNC cables for wireless applications are 50 Ohm:

RG 59 cables for CCTV

The choice of cable is a critical component of CCTV system design and the correct cable is essential for ensuring the optimal performance of all hardware within the system. 75 Ohm coaxial cable can transmit the complete video bandwidth without distortion and limited signal loss depending on length. RG 59 and RG179 (for shorter runs) have demonstrable performance in delivering a very high quality signal signal without significant degradation and good picture quality.

RG59 Coaxial Cables with BNC Connectors: This is a cable assembly that is commonly used for both analog and digital video applications, in widespread use in radio and television production and broadcast. As it is often present in analog video setups, newer 75 Ohm cable with BNC connectors can be readily swapped in for digital upgrades. The RG 59 cable assembly was originally used for analog television equipment including cameras and monitors, but RG 59 jump cables can now be used to interlink contemporary digital equipment. Attention must be paid to the attenuation rate and quality of the cable for long runs or high bitrates of data transfer. Short runs are preferable, with a maximum run of 100 meters (328 feet) optimal for HD bitrates.

In particular, RG 59 is used for Serial Digital Interface (SDI). These are a series of television industry digital interfaces and networking technologies that are standardized by the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers. Their protocols specify for both high definition and broadcast-quality video. The digital signals are transmitted uncompressed and encoded onto the carrier signal using Non-return-to-zero (NRZI), a method that maps the binary digital signal onto the carrier for transmission. Depending on the video format used standard bit rates span 143 Mbit/s to 270 Mbit/s.

Professional BNC audiovisual cables are critical for the electrical interface used in applications such and technologies such as:

  • Embedded audio: RG59 cable assemblies with BNC connector deliver good performance as both analog and digital premium audio cables.
  • High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) is an audiovisual interface for the transfer of digital video and audio between compatible devices such as display controllers, monitors, audio devices, and digital televisions. HDMI over coax adapters and extenders enable digital images and audio to be transferred over RG 59 and other 75 Ohm coax, over distances of up to 300 meters (984 feet).
  • High Definition Closed Circuit Television (HDCCTV) is a modern form of CCTV that delivers a resolution of 2.1 megapixels compared to the standard 0.4 megapixels of D1 CCTV. HD CCTY also offers a longer range of depth and border images. For HD CCTV a variant double-shielded RG 59 cable with BNC connectors may be used.
  • CoaXPress is an interface standard for high-speed image data transmission. It is used widely for machine vision, a technology used in industry for image-based inspection and analysis. The coaXpress protocol uses 75 Ohm coaxial cable as the physical medium for delivery of both power and control protocols as well as data. It can use a single line as well as older coax that had been used in prior installations. An RG 59 coaxial cable with BNC connectors is commonly used for this application.

BNC male to BNC male cable can be connected to BNC male to BNC female extension cable as a BNC extender to create increasing lengths of cord. A BNC cable extension is a staple component in professional video equipment set ups.

BNC connectors connect with a half-turn. Gender is determined by the inside wire - not the outside connector. BNC is a Round connector with slotted mating collar. Quick-disconnect connector for coaxial cable: It is not only used for Wireless Antenna extensions, but also for video, audio, and networking coax applications.

BNC (Bayonet Neill–Concelman) is a miniature quick release and quick connect RF connector. The female connector has two lugs that latch positively or in reverse with a quarter turn to quickly connect or disconnect. Connectors largely have a brass body, they may feature gold plating for external use to increase durability, and nickel plating for terminating onto a soldered circuit board. The connectors are lightweight and reliable.

BNC connectors were originally developed for the military. It has now gained popularity for use in RF and video signal equipment - especially CCTV. Some common applications of BNC connectors and cables are:

  • Aerospace electronics
  • Antennas
  • Automotive wireless devices
  • Broadcast (75 Ω)
  • Cable Modems
  • Computer LAN equipment
  • Medical Equipment
  • Parallel and serial video signal devices
  • Telecom
