Does the job
Over-all, Data-Alliance provides the buyer a well made product at a fair price and this adapter is no exception. Priced fair enough you can get some extra ones for your tool box in case you decide to work on the project you have been kicking around over the winter months.
N-female to RP-SMA-male Adapter
RP-SMA male to N-female adapter

- The N-female to RP-SMA-male Adapter features a robust nickel-plated brass body, providing enhanced corrosion resistance. This durable construction ensures the adapter's longevity, making it a reliable choice for your wireless connectivity needs. It is suitable for outdoor or indoor applications.
- The gold-plated center contact is used to reduce signal loss.
- It allows the interconnection of devices with N male and RP-SMA female interfaces: antennas, antenna cables, and wireless devices.
- It is used for extension, coaxial interface conversion, and retrofit applications.
Compatibility with wireless applications:
Designed for superior performance, our RF antenna cable adapters operate over a wide 0GHz to 18GHz frequency range, offer consistently low VSWR, and are matched to 50 Ohm impedance—making them ideal for a range of wireless applications. They support all WiFi frequencies at 2.4GHz and 8GHz, including Wi-Fi HaLow 802.11AH, 802.11AX and standards like 802.11AC, 802.11N, 802.11G, 802.11B, and 802.11A. These cables are also reliable for cellular wireless systems including LTE / 4G, GSM / 3G, and WiMax, handling both voice and data. Use them confidently in IoT wireless, automation, and M2M platforms involving Bluetooth, ZigBee, WiFi HaLow, RFID, LoRa, LTE-m, and NB-IoT, WiFi 6, WiFi 6E. They are also verified for use with all Helium miners in North America—including Bobcat, Sensecap, and other Helium LongFi miners—just like our full range of RP-SMA-male connector cables and adapters.
Adapter Materials & Construction
-
Connector Body: Made of nickel-plated brass, offering exceptional corrosion resistance—even superior to gold-plated finishes—making it ideal for demanding outdoor environments.
-
Crimp Ferrule: Constructed from nickel-plated copper, combining strength with conductivity.
-
Center Contact: Gold-plated beryllium copper ensures low signal loss and excellent conductivity under repeated mating cycles.
-
Insulators: High-performance PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) provides superior dielectric properties and thermal stability.
-
Weatherproof Design: Engineered to withstand harsh weather conditions, this adapter maintains its durability and reliable RF performance over time in both indoor and outdoor applications.
RoHS and REACH compliant: Our antenna cables and adapters comply with RoHS 3 and REACH restrictions on heavy metals and other toxins.
N-female Connector Characteristics and Details: Durable, weatherproof connection
- N connectors are nickel-plated brass, which is the best metal composition for rust-proofing/corrosion-proofing / weatherproofing for long-term outdoor exposure.
- Our N-type adapters feature threaded coupling mechanisms and are fully interchangeable with N-type connectors made to the MIL-C-39012 specification. These connectors are used in all systems with critical RF and mechanical performance.
- Our N connectors provide a consistent performance from 900MHz to 12.5 GHz.
- N-type connectors are the most extensive RF connector types. They are usually found on large antennas, especially for outdoor use.
- The n-female adapter has a diameter of 0.620 inches (1.57 cm), while the N-Male adapter has an inside diameter of 0.620 inches (1.57 cm). These dimensions are standard for N-type connectors. N-connector gender is counter-intuitive: Click here for details.
RP-SMA Connector Characteristics and Details
- RP SMA Dimensions
- RP-SMA Gender Determination: Key PointsRP-SMA gender is counter-intuitive: Please observe the picture & note it is correct.
- The gender refers to the pins inside--not the threads. RP-SMA male has threads on the inside.
- As you might expect, the RP-SMA male has a socket inside rather than a pin because the RP stands for "Reverse Polarity." The socket/pin configuration is female when it appears male, and vice versa.
- More details regarding RP-SMA gender determination.
