"Passive" means that this PoE can accept any input voltage. Receives DC current, which makes it convenient for boats and RVs.
Compatible 12v, 18v, & 24v power supplies: You can make longer cable runs with 24 volts. You may need a voltage-step-down adapter to make sure that the final voltage going to the AP or router is not too much: See indoor and outdoor voltage step-down adapters in Related Products Tab above.
