Perfect
Needed a short cost effective cable to connect between an external 2.4 GHz Bluetooth antenna and a player enclosed in a metal cabinet. It's installed and working great.

Great
After having signal problems with a wireless security camera system had to put the antennas remotely inside of home. Cable were perfect for what I needed. The different choice of length made it easy to install. Had ordered the wrong cable the first time. Was not aware of the the reverse polarity male to female ends. Cables are very well made and received on time as promised.

RP-SMA pig tail
Very well made. Heavy duty cabling. I need this to connect from my computer Wi-Fi PCI card to a very stiff RG antenna cable. I had broken the PCI card connectors twice by accidentally moving the computer. These are to provide some strain relief.
RP-SMA Extension Cable
RP-SMA female to male Antenna Cable
- Our RP-SMA Extension Cable is a unique product, featuring an RP SMA male connector on one end and an RP SMA female connector on the other. It's equipped with a bulkhead nut and washer for easy mounting and weatherproofing, setting it apart from other cables on the market.
- Other lengths of our RP-SMA extension cables from inches to meters.
- The cable length stated in the length options is between the connectors.
- The connectors are straight RP-SMA-male and straight RP-SMA female connectors with bulkheads.
- Data Alliance's high-quality soldered terminations of RP-SMA connectors with soldering provide a low-loss connection with discontinuities kept to a minimum.
• Our RP-SMA Extension Cable is not only double-shielded and low-loss, but also incredibly flexible and easily bendable. Its black jacket adds a touch of style. The double-shielding is a testament to its high quality, ensuring lower loss and better performance, making it a durable and reliable choice.
We offer two options for thickness of the cable (both are double-shielded):
- The LMR-100-equivalent cable-type is equivalent or better than LMR-100: Has the same or better signal-loss-per-meter and flexibility as LMR100, and less attenuation (signal loss) than RG-174 and RG-178. The higher quality of the cable of this antenna translates into lower loss/better performance. The cable is equivalent to LMR-100 in thickness.
- The LMR-200-equivalent cable-type is equivalent or better than LMR-200: Has the same or better signal-loss-per-meter and flexibility as LMR200, and less attenuation (signal loss) than RG58.
- See comparison of LMR-100 and LMR-200 attenuation (signal loss).
The temperature range for the operational use of these cable assemblies is as follows:
- Cables with 100-series coax: -22 F ~ +185 F (-30 C ~ +85 C)
- Cables with 200-series coax: -31 F ~ +203 F (-35 C ~ +95 C)
RP-SMA female connector includes a bulkhead nut and washer for mounting & waterproofing:
- This can be used to mount the connector (and thus the cable) on the wall of a network enclosure (to weatherproof the cable connection) or mount the connector on a case, panel, or Printed Circuit Board (PCB).
- Weatherproofing: Seal the hole where the female connector is mounted by placing an O-ring between the enclosure's wall and the bulkhead nut and washer on the female connector.
- The length of our standard RP-SMA-female connector (threaded part) is 3/8 inches. We have a longer option, 14.5mm, which is available. The longer 14.5mm option has an O-ring embedded in the flange to waterproof the port where the cable enters a network enclosure.
Compatibility with wireless standards & applications:
- All WiFi standards: 2.4GHz and 5GHz applications: Wi-Fi 6, WiFi 6E, 802.11AX, 802.11AC, 802.11N, 802.11G, 802.11B, 802.11A
- Cellular Wireless LTE / 4G, GSM / 3G WiMax, 5G: Data and voice applications
- IoT wireless, automation & Machine to Machine (M2M): Bluetooth, ZigBee, RFID, LoRa, LTE-m, NB-IoT.
- Compatible with all Helium miners used in North America, including Bobcat miners, Sensecap miners, and all other Helium LongFi miners, as are all of our antenna cables and adapters with RP-SMA-male connectors.
Our RP-SMA extension cables' range of frequency band compatibility (from 0 to 18GHz), consistently low broadband VSWR, and impedance matching to 50 Ohm antennas and cables make them suitable and compliant for all the above applications.
When it comes to safety, we've got you covered. Our antenna cables are fully compliant with ROHS 3 and REACH restrictions. This means they meet the strictest standards for lead content, other heavy metals, and toxic materials. You can rest easy knowing that our RP-SMA extension cables are safe and reliable.
Installing our RP-SMA male-to-female extension cable is a breeze. The RP-SMA male connector is designed to fit the jack on most WiFi routers, while the RP-SMA female connector is a perfect match for antennas with an RP-SMA male connector. This means that most WiFi antennas with an RP-SMA connector have a male connector. With our extension cable, you can position your antenna further from the router , finding the best spot for optimal line of sight.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the shielding effectiveness of the cable?
The cable provides over 90 dB shielding effectiveness, minimizing interference from external sources and ensuring signal integrity.
How does the cable handle phase stability over its operating temperature range?
The cable maintains a phase stability within ±5° per GHz over -40°C to +85°C, critical for applications requiring precise signal timing.
What are the intermodulation distortion characteristics?
The cable achieves passive intermodulation levels better than -155 dBc, essential for maintaining signal purity in high-density environments.
How does the cable's insertion loss vary with frequency?
At 2.4 GHz, the insertion loss is approximately 0.525 dB for the 21-inch length. At 5 GHz, the loss increases to about 0.9 dB.
What are the effects of bending on signal attenuation?
Exceeding the minimum bend radius of 1 inch can increase insertion loss and risk physical damage, affecting performance.
How does the dielectric constant impact signal transmission?
The PTFE dielectric offers a low constant (~2.1), reducing signal loss and enhancing performance across high frequencies.
What are the implications of using the cable in differential signaling applications?
While the RP-SMA extension cable is designed for single-ended signal transmission, it can still be used in differential signaling applications by employing two cables for each signal line. This setup requires careful matching of cable lengths and characteristics to ensure signal integrity and minimize phase differences. Additionally, differential to single-ended converters or adapters may be necessary to properly interface the cable with differential circuitry, maintaining the balanced nature of the signals and ensuring optimal performance.
How does humidity affect the cable's long-term performance?
The PVC jacket provides resistance to moisture, but extended high-humidity exposure can slightly increase dielectric loss.
What is the durability of the connectors under repeated mating cycles?
The RP-SMA connectors withstand over 500 mating cycles, ensuring long-term reliability for frequent connections.
